I've never been able to find premade gaskets for the rear axle assembly so I decided to make my own. These are specifically for a 1970 Maverick 8" with 4-lugs but may fit others. After making some tracings and some trial and error, a friend who is has a CAD program cleaned up my drawings and converted them to PDF. I printed the PDF files, cut them out, and traced them onto some thin gasket material. Pictured above is the gasket that goes between the backing plate and bearing retainer. The other gasket goes between the axle housing flange and backing plate and is slightly different.
